Healing Stone Facial

Acupuncture is one of the oldest and most commonly used medical procedures in the world. It can be used for a wide range of health issues, from acute symptom relief to a range of chronic issues.

How does Acupuncture work?

According to theory the body is covered by a network of twelve meridians, rather like the network of nerves or blood vessels in the body. The meridians connect to, and work with, twelve of the organs in the body (heart, spleen, large intestine etc.). Each acu-point is a specific area along the meridian where the energy gathers and has a particular function in the body on a physical, mental and emotional level.

What does it feel like to receive acupuncture treatment?

For most of us it's a relaxing and pleasant experience - calmer, better health, and better energy, in the following days. The actual needling may produce sensations - soreness, numbness, distension, and heaviness, as the effects travel along the meridians.

How often and how many sessions am I going to need?

Every second day is the best, if not then at least twice a week in the beginning. As conditions get better it should be okay once a week. Every session will take about 50 minutes. The number of treatments needed will be varied. It depends on patient's conditions, and illness history.
